Brennan Elizabeth Peters is a screenwriter and proud New Orleanian.
As a storyteller, she is attracted to tales about the disenfranchised and overlooked; her protagonists are almost exclusively women and girls. She recently graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory with an MFA in Screenwriting, was a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Arts Award, and is an alumna of the Point Foundation.
Her first feature, PERRY & EMILE, screened at numerous festivals and won the 2013 Jury Prize at the New Orleans Film Festival. Her feature screenplays HOUSE OF WISDOM and ROUGAROU won the Sloan Screenplay Awards in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Her first pilot, THE EMPRESS, was a Humanitas College Drama Award nominee, is currently a Semifinalist for the CineStory TV Retreat and a finalist in the Cinequest Screenwriting Competition, and won the AFI Writers' Room Ready Pilot Initiative.
