Hailing from Tunisia, Lobna Hassairi studied filmmaking at American University and communications at Johns Hopkins University. She produced and directed a couple of award-winning documentaries, including The Right to the Main Hall, a 30-min documentary that examines Muslim women’s battle to pray with men in the mosque’s main hall in their communities in the U.S. Lobna has worked in nonprofits for more than 8 years focusing on social impact, cross-cultural collaboration, and global advocacy campaigns. Lobna is currently the Media and Communications Manager at the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS).
